YES!!
We finally get to come back home after 5days of no power and water. Its been a rough couple of months. I pray the new year brings on something good.
I have been singing this song since Dad died. I am learning to let Jesus take the wheel.

Jesus, Take the Wheel(James/Lindsey/Sampson)She was drivin' last Friday on her way to Cincinnati On a snow white Christmas EveGoin' home to see her Mama and her DaddyWith the baby in the back seatFifty miles to go and she was runnin' lowOn faith and gasolineIt'd been a long hard yearShe had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attentionShe was goin' way too fastBefore she knew it she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glassShe saw both their lives flash before her eyesShe didn't even have time to cryShe was so scared, she threw her hands up in the air(Chorus)Jesus take the wheelTake it from my hands'Cause I can't do this on my ownI'm letting goSo give me one more chanceSave me from this road I'm onJesus take the wheelIt was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder and the car came to a stopShe cried when she saw that baby in the back seat sleepin' like a rockAnd for the first time in a long time she bowed her head to prayShe said I'm sorry for the wayI've been livin' my lifeI know I've got to changeSo from now on tonight(Repeat chorus)

Going through the motions

Dad, the Packers won again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I wish you had seen it.

In Loving Memory of my Dad
God saw the road was getting rough,
the hills were hard to climb,
He gently closed those loving eyes,
and whispered, "Peace be Thine!"
The weary hours and the days of pain,
the sleepless nights are passed;
The ever-patient, worn-out frame,
has found sweet rest at last.
God saw that you were getting weary,
so He did what He knew best,
He came and stood beside you,
and whispered, "Come my child and rest!"
You bid your family a last farewell,
yet some no chance to say good-bye,
You were gone before we knew it,
and only God knows why.

the shoot out

This guy, David Gilliland, may well be the one to watch this year. I still would like to see Dale Jarrett or Mark Martin win a few good ones. As usual Jarrett ran the back of the pack. Mark Martin stayed in his usual spot also, in/out of the top ten. That's ok, its just the beginning

Nascar ramblings

Winter is officially over this week!!!!!
Well for us Nascar fans any way.
I don't know about the rest of the fans, but I am bit concerned with all the changes. I thought that Nascar was a southern boys game. Oh well who am I ? I guess everything in life is circled around advertising and being politically correct. Who knows maybe this will be the best year for Nascar. I guess I just prefer the old days. Remember those guys? Petty, Parsons and Baker just to name a few. I know I will miss the voice of Benny. Only time will tell how this season will turn out.
Dale Jarrett will be driving for Toyota. Maybe he will start racing again instead of just driving. Come on Dale, you once were one of my favorites. Mark Martin make up your mind. To race or not to race. And #8, whats up with you?
