It begins on New Years Eve. People around the world get sick with the plague. The government collapses. The world has changed. Billions die and few survive. Survivors learn to farm and begin to live. New communities rise up. People learn skills that they never imagined. Light and Dark rise up also. Farming and survival are not their only skills. Magical must be learned and adjusted to also.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The writing was smooth and grabbed me from the get-go. The characters were loveable and believable every day people. I felt like I was part of this story. I wasn't ready for this story to end.
